Afghanistan, Pakistan upgraded relations between diplomatic thread – DW – 05/31/2025

Afghanistan welcomed the decision to upgrade the ambassador’s relationship with Pakistan, the office of Kabul’s Foreign Minister Amir Khan Mundki said on Saturday.

The Afghan Foreign Ministry posted on X, “This height in diplomatic representation between Afghanistan and Pakistan paves the way for bilateral cooperation in several domains.”

Since Kabul fell into the Taliban in 2021, only a handful of countries have agreed to host the Taliban government ambassadors. No country has recognized the administration.
