PT Hegaseth, Secretary, United States of Defense, warned on Saturday that China “prepared to use a trusted military force” to re-organize the balance of power in India-Pacific.
Hegseth Shangri-La Dialogue was speaking at the Premier Defense Forum of Asia, who was a hero in Singapore.
The Pentagon chief said that the Chinese army “was rehearsing for the actual deal,” stating that the Indo-Pacific area was a priority for the administration of President Donald Trump.
“We are not going to sugarcane – China’s threat is real. And it can be adjacent,” Heer said.
Hegseth pushed Asian colleagues to promote defense spending
Hegseth told Washington’s colleagues in the Indo-Pacific sector that they would not be left to deal with the growing military and economic pressures from Beijing.
He called Asian colleagues to increase his own defense spending, saying that “deteralrence does not come cheaply.”
NATO said, “It is difficult to believe a little … that I am saying this, but thanks to President Trump, Asian colleagues should look at countries in Europe for a new example,” Hegseth said, NATO members include NATO members to spend a target of 5% of 5% of 5% GDP by members of NATO, which is a higher percentage of GDP than the US.
US Defense Secretary on China’s regional ambitions
Hegseth said on Saturday that any attempt by China to attack Taiwan will be “Indo-Pacific and the world disastrous consequences.”
Chinese President Xi Jinping has ordered the People’s Liberation Army to die to take Taiwan by 2027, a time limit that experts see more as an aspiring goal than a staunch.
Beijing claims self-explained Taiwan as its territory.
The US Defense Secretary again told Trump’s remarks that China would not win Taiwan under Trump’s watch.
Hegseth called China for its power designs in Latin America, especially its efforts to increase its impact around the Panama Canal.
