Indus water treatment news: After the Pahalgam massacre, India has announced to put the Indus Water Agreement in a cold settlement for indefinitely, Pakistan’s Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif has been blown away. Wherever they are going, they are chanting the raga of the Indus Water Trity. India has strongly responded to Shahbaz Sharif’s allegations. Bhatar, while giving a befitting reply in the UN, said that Pakistan has broken the Indus Water Agreement by supporting terrorism. India has told the world to the world by showing its status to the neighboring country at the UN Glacier Summit.
At the UN Glacier Summit, the Indian delegation rejected the allegations leveled by Pakistan that it was violating the Indus Water Treaty. According to news agency PTI, New Delhi instead argued that Pakistan’s continuous support for cross-border terrorism is affecting the water-sharing agreement in 1960. The case of India was presented by Minister of State for Environment Kirti Vardhan Singh in the full session of the first UN conference on glaciers in Dusamba (Tajikistan). During his address, Kirti Vardhan Singh emphasized how Pakistan is violating the agreement by promoting terrorism.
India’s befitting reply
Kirti Vardhan Singh said that we are shocked by Pakistan with efforts to misuse this forum and improper reference to those issues. This thing does not come under the purview of this forum. He said that we strongly condemn such efforts. The minister of India further said that since the signing of the Indus Water Agreement, there has been a basic change in the situation and this fact cannot be denied. Therefore, this agreement needs to be reviewed.
Pakistan wired
India, while mentioning the preface of the agreement, said that it was concluded with a sense of goodwill and friendship and it is necessary to honor the treaty well. Kirti Vardhan argued that although Pakistan constantly hinders the ability to take advantage of it according to the provisions of the Treaty of Treaty of terrorism from Pakistan. He further said, “Pakistan who violates the treaty itself, should avoid blaming India for violation of the treaty.” It is worth noting that his comment from India came on Friday after Pakistan Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif addressed the United Nations Summit. Sharif reiterated the announcement of its new field marshal Asim Munir, saying that Pakistan will not allow India to cross the red line by postponing the Indus Water Treaty for narrow political gains and endangering the lives of millions.
What did Shahbaz Sharif say
Now the question arises that what was the Prime Minister of Pakistan Shahbaz Sharif said. Pakistani newspaper ‘Don’ reported to Sharif quoting Sharif, ‘India’s unilateral and illegal decision to postpone the Indus Water Treaty that controls the water sharing of the Indus basin is very regrettable.’ India postponed the decades -old treaty soon after the Pahalgam terror attack in Kashmir on 22 April, killing 26 tourists.
