Ukraine said on Sunday that at least 12 soldiers were killed and dozens of others were injured in the Russian missile attack in the army training area. Ukrainian commander resigns after the attack
Ukrainian Army Commander Mikhilo Dripti said he was resigning from his post after the attack. He said that he feels “responsible” for the death of at least 12 soldiers in the Russian attack on the training ground.
He said in his resignation, “This is a deliberate step taken for the tragedy, inspired by the spirit of my personal responsibility.”
The army promised to bring those responsible for the death and loss of the soldiers under strict accountability. Separately on Sunday, the Ukrainian Air Force said that 472 Russian drones killed him in the night.
