The United Nations agencies said on Tuesday that five assistance workers were killed in an attack on a convoy on a convoy in Sudan, which prevents the delivery of food to the family faced in a war -torn DARF area.

“Five members of the convoy were killed and several more injured. Several trucks were burnt, and significant humanity supplies were damaged,” UNICEF and World Food Program (WFP) said in a joint statement.
Both agencies called for an investigation into the attack, which they said that there was a violation of the International Human law.
The statement said, “It is the devastation that supply has not rebuilt weak children and families.”
The agencies were not specific who were behind the attack. The United Nations said that the killed and injured were Sudani contractors who were working for WFP and UNICEF.

The RSF claimed in a statement that the convoy was hit by a military aircraft in a “pre -planned attack”.
However, Sudan’s army -led government dismissed it and said in a statement that the aid trucks were “attacked by a rebel Rapid Support Force Militians.”

Famine destroyed
The fight between the RSF paramilitary group and Sudan’s military-controlled government began two years ago, Sudan was called from the world’s worst humanistic crisis, which was with more than one million people on the verge of starvation in the North Darling state alone.
The fight has killed thousands of people, uprooted 13 million people and created strict hunger and displacement crisis. The United Nations Refugee Agency (UNHCR) said on Tuesday that four million people had fled the boundaries of Sudan.
