Ukraine says that it hit Russia’s bridge with underwater bombs for Crimea
Ukraine has claimed responsibility for the underwater bombing of the Crimean Bridge, stating that it illegally performed a “unique special operation” against the composition that illegally connects an illegally anxed Crimea in Russia.
SBU, Ukraine’s Security Service stated that it had exploded more than 1,000 kg (about 200 pounds) explosives associated with one of the underwater pillars of the bridge, describing as the third successful strike on the bridge since the full -scale invasion of Russia in 2022.
The footage issued by the SBU showed a underwhelming explosion with the debris singing in the air, as well as showing a clear loss to the shore of the bridge. However, the limit of damage is not clear.
The Russian state media said that the bridge was closed for traffic about four hours earlier on Tuesday.
Kiev has consecrated a 19-cilometer (12-mile) bridge as a legitimate military target, arguing that it plays an important role in Russia’s contingent and tool movements.
