Thousands of acres (Roughly 189km2) of Stolen Land Have Been Returned to California’s Yurok Tribe, More than 120 Years after it was stolen During the Region’s Gold Rush, According to a conservation deal announced thursday. Indiguenous people’s nowledge is increasingly seen as vital in tackling climate change. The tribe plan to reintroduce fire as a forest management tool, remove invasive species and plant trees while helping to restore salmon and wildlife.
