Recently, a digital billboard video went viral on Times Square in New York, in which Pakistan’s Army Chief General Aseem Munir and Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif were criticized publicly. This billboard was imposed on behalf of supporters of former Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan in jail. Asim Munir, who recently promoted the post of Field Marshal in Billboard, has been described as “false” and “fraudulent martial”. Also, President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif have been described as his “two crooks”.
In a caption, it was written, “False. Why don’t you also conduct polygraph tests.” This caption indicates repeated efforts by the Sharif government to force Imran Khan for a lie detector test.

Billboard also calls Munir called “fail” and “fraudulent martial”, and his recent promotion in the country has been mocked.
It also has a picture of Munir along with Sharif and Zardari, which states, “Frauds and his two crooks: Asif Ali Zardari and Shahbaz Sharif.”
The Billboard, taking a sarcasm at the founder Nawaz Sharif of PML-N, states that the former Prime Minister can “do anything for selfishness”.
In this, Imran Khan has also been targeted by the civil government and military establishment for “illegally detaining” for two years.
The clip of the billboard on the busiest road in New York City was fiercely shared by the Indians and many people took sarcasm on the internal political problems of Pakistan.
Anger against army
Billboard surfaced at a time when Munir is strengthening his grip on power in the house, while many are disappointed with his action against the Pakistani Army and Imran Khan.
Significantly, in the general elections held last year, Imran Khan’s colleagues won most of the seats. Despite this, Shahbaz Sharif’s PML -N coalition formed the government at the Center – which had strong support from the army.
Following the arrest of Imran Khan in 2023, there were extensive protests under the leadership of his supporters in Pakistan, accusing the government of the army and Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif of conspiring for his expulsion.
