Los angeles protest live: Amid anti -immigration demonstrations in Los Angeles in the US, President Donald Trump has ordered the deployment of 2000 additional National Guard soldiers. Now the total number of soldiers posted in the city has exceeded 4100. This step has been taken to ensure the safety of federal properties and personnel. Earlier, the Pentagon had deployed about 700 marines, which will help in the protection of federal properties.
California governor Gavin Newsom condemned this deployment, calling it an illegal and deranged step. He said that deploying American Marines to face his own countrymen is a sign of dictatorship. California has filed a case against the Trump administration, requesting a judge to declare the deployment of National Guard soldiers illegal in response to the demonstrations on the roads in Los Angeles and ordered to stop any deployment in future.
