Initially the company will serve in Bengaluru. Currently, there are only two big companies in the online food delivery space, Jomato and Swigi. With the arrival of Rapido, where users will get another option, on the other hand, competition will increase in online food delivery space.
Rapido will offer service by name Ownly
Rapido Food delivery service name ‘Ownly‘ will be. This name can change until the service is launched. The special thing is that the focus of Rapido is on providing Effordable food to the users. Many restaurant owners Zomato And Swiggy But they have been accused of taking more commissions. Both have also been facing many other allegations including preforative treatment, Higher Customer Acquen Cost (CACS). Due to all these reasons, if the third platform of online food delivery is available, then it will be good news for restaurants owners.
Users will get the third option of food delivery
Thrive, first Coca Cola’s invested Thrive tried to make its place in the food delivery service. However, this attempt failed. However, users currently have some other options. These include the government support ONDC, Zomato invested Magicpin, Zepto Cafe, Blinkit Bistro, Swish etc. These companies are moving forward. However, it has not yet reached the level to compete with Jomato and Swigi.
Service will be available on less cost than Jomato and Swigy
The good thing is that the focus cost of Rapido is on keeping the minimum. With this, restaurants will also be able to keep their food prices low. The proposal document of Rapido states that the dish’s price (except GST) will be the final price that users will have to pay. No other charge will be taken from the customers from the rapido or restaurants. This means that the offline and online price of a food will be the same.

Customers will get food option for less than Rs 150
Rapido will charge a similar delivery charge (except GST) on an order of more than Rs 100. The delivery charge on the order of Rs 100 and less will be Rs 20. It will be for delivery within a radius of 4 kilometers. The special thing is that delivery cost restaurants will be repaid and not customers. In the early days of the launch of the service, customers will not have to pay the price of food and any kind of charge. Rapido has asked its partners restaurants that they will have to offer at least 4 options for food worth less than Rs 150.
