As Christian Hoppe, CEO from Klauser, reports on Schuhkurier demand, the long-time buyer and since 2021 shopping manager Simon Stechel will leave the Wuppertal company. The exact time of his departure is still being coordinated, says Hoppe. The position is not filled externally. The total four -person shopping team around Luisa Ewert (women’s shoes) and Cornelia Fiebach (men’s shoes) is very experienced and will continue his work in the usual way. According to Hoppe, the purchase is also one of his own core competencies, so that it wants to contribute in the upcoming order rounds.
Simon Stechel had worked for many years in the men’s shoe shopping and as a fire manager at the shoe branchist Görtz in Hamburg. Then he moved to the AnwR Group for two years. In October 2013 he started in the Klauser goods team and took over the shopping management in 2021.
Christian Hoppe has been the managing director of the Wuppertal branch company since autumn 2024. The 45-year-old followed the 59-year-old Lothar Schäfer. Before his commitment to Klauser, Hoppe worked at Peek & Cloppenburg, Engelhorn and the shirting manufacturer Van Laack.
A new CFO since March 2025hat Klauser with Torsten Altenscheidt. The 58-year-old had previously been a commercial director/CFO at Teh Textilhandel GmbH (fashion house Aachener).
At the same time, the company announces that they have included four other locations in its portfolio. These are earlier Görtz shops in Lüneburg, Magdeburg, Potsdam and Wolfsburg. The Lüneburg location has already been opened. According to Christian Hoppe, the other three shops are to be opened in early July.
