After Air India’s plane crash, the same question is in everyone’s mind that what is the reason for this incident. Now the Aviation sector regulator DGCA (Directorate General of Civil Aviation) will examine all flights of Air India’s Boeing fleet. These include Boeing 787-8/9. On June 12, Air India’s plane crashed in a heartbreaking accident. A total of 265 people have been killed in this accident. Out of which 241 were passenger and 24 medical students.
According to a statement issued by DGCA, “As part of measures to prevent such accidents, DGCA ordered DGCA Air India to have additional maintenance of the plane of Boeing 787-8/9 with immediate effect.” Along with this, DGCA in its order has also ordered a check once before the departure of flight from India from 15.06.2025.
What have DGCA ordered?
There will be a check once before the flight flying from India from 15.06.2025 am. Under this, fuel parameter monitoring and related system checks will also be investigated. Cabin will be tested for air compressors and systems.
Under this, electronic engine control-systems will be tested, engine fuel driving actuator-operating test and oil system, service test of hydraulic systems and take-off parameters will be done.
Also, on the basis of repeated malfunctions on the B787-8/9 aircraft during the last 15 days, the maintenance action has also been ordered to be closed at the earliest.
The order states that all safety check reports are to be submitted to DGCA for review.
Air India aircraft crash
Air India flight to London on Thursday fell on the hostel of the Medical College in Ahmedabad. At least 265 people died in this accident. Shortly after flying, the aircraft caught fire. It is one of the most painful and deadly air accidents in India in recent years.
