Otherwise, he will have to bear the worse result of this. US President Donald Trump stood shoulder to shoulder with Israel without delay. However, when it comes to Pakistan, the US administration takes silence. During Operation Sindoor, India attacked terrorist bases in Pakistan. Then the US did not issue any such warning against Pakistan that it should stop its terrorism factory, otherwise it would have to be suffering.
Operation Sindoor started on 7 May 2025 by India and avenged the death of 26 tourists in the Pahalgam terror attack on 22 April. The terrorist bases in Pakistan and Pok were destroyed by India. India targeted organizations like Jaish-e-Mohammed and Lashkar-e-Taiba. Then Trump talked about showing a tough stance against terrorism and also tried to take a false credit to conduct a ceasefire between India and Pakistan on May 10. However, India clarified that the ceasefire was caused by bilateral talks between the DGMOs of both countries, not by American mediation. Offering Trump’s mediation, especially on the Kashmir issue, India turned down, because India considers it a bilateral matter.
Trump’s softening of Pakistan was further exposed when the Cryptocurrency firm World Liberty Financial associated with his family signed an agreement with the Pakistan Crypto Council in April 2025, with the role of Pakistani Army Chief Aseem Munir. The deal took place just before the Pahalgam attack, causing suspicion that Trump’s “peacemaker” stance was inspired by business interests. Apart from this, the Trump administration invited Pakistan Army Chief Asim Munir to the 250th anniversary ceremony of the US Army on 14 June 2025, which is a matter of concern for India.
The big question here is also why Donald Trump has different policy for Iran and Pakistan? One reason for this is that Iran has been the enemy of America for decades. In such a situation, he has been working on the policy of maximum pressure on Iran. At the same time, talking about Pakistan, Pakistan has been a partner of America since the time of Soviet Union.
