According to the information, through DNA testing after the accident, 32 of those killed have been identified and 12 families have so far claimed for bodies. The government government has started the work of handing over the body to the family.

Funeral will be performed in Rajkot

Gujarat Home Minister Harsh Sanghvi said on Sunday that three days after Air India’s tragic accident in Ahmedabad, former Gujarat Chief Minister Vijay Rupani has been identified by DNA investigation. The report that came at 11:10 am confirmed that the remains found from the accident site belonged to Vijay Rupani. After this, his body was handed over to his family. He will be cremated in Rajkot. Officers of the Chief Minister’s Office reached the civil hospital to take the body. Gujarat Health Minister Rushikesh Patel said that the family of Vijay Rupani has been informed about DNA matching.

CM gave information to Rupani family

Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel reached the house of former Chief Minister Vijay Rupani and told his family that his body has been identified in DNA investigation. He also assured that the state government will help full help in the funeral process. Now the family will decide when they want to take the body. Prime Minister Narendra Modi also visited the state on the next day of the accident and met Rupani’s family. On Thursday afternoon, Vijay Rupani was riding in Air India flight AI-171, which crashed shortly after flying to London. A total of 241 people were aboard the aircraft.

Cancel was ticketed twice

Actually, this was Rupani’s third ticket for London. He had canceled his ticket twice for different reasons. After all the work was settled, on June 12, the Boeing 787 Dreamliner AI-171 was taken, but he crashed. Former Gujarat Chief Minister Vijay Rupani wanted to go to London to meet his daughter. But he postponed this journey twice. For the first time, he was to go to London with his wife on 1 June, where his daughter lives. But he did not travel himself and only sent his wife. His plan to go to London for the second time was made on 5 June, but due to the Ludhiana West Assembly by -election, he again deferred his journey.

Aircraft found black box

Only one British citizen has survived alive in the Air India flight AI-171 accident. The government has said that the black box of the aircraft has been recovered and its data is being decoded to find out the real cause of the accident. The aircraft fell victim to the accident just seconds after flying to London. It collided with a building in the campus of Bij Medical College in Meghaninagar, about one kilometer from the runway of Ahmedabad Airport. With the collision, the aircraft exploded a tremendous explosion and turned into a fireball. The hostel building was badly damaged in the accident and many people on the ground died, including some MBBS students.
