According to Maharashtra State Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, at least four people died and enthusiasm was removed after the Indryani River at a popular tourist destination near the city of Pune on Sunday.
“Some people swept away, so a search operation is going on on a war foot to find the subject,” he wrote on X.
Fadnavis said that six people have been rescued and 32 were injured, out of which six are in critical condition.
He said that the National Disaster Response Force has been deployed on the site and other agencies have been directed to stay on high alert.
According to local media reports, tourists’ scores were on the bridge when it collapsed, singing many people in the swelling river.
The Press Trust of India reported that the incident took place in Kundamla area of Pune district, which has experienced heavy rainfall in the last few days, resulting in a stable flow of the river.
The news agency said that when the bridge fell repeatedly by picnakers, the bridge was not raining.
India’s infrastructure has long been fired with security concerns, sometimes there is significant destruction on its highways and bridges.
In 2022, a century -old cable suspension bridge fell into a river in the western state of Gujarat, sinking hundreds of people in water. At least 132 people died.
