Parman, a Bitcoiner developer specialized in security, explained that he is working on his future proposalwhich could redefine how users interact with this decentralized network.
That initiative, presented on June 12 and without a release date, is called Parmanodl: a laptop that is presented as An integral solution to manage bitcoinfrom running a node, practicing the mining of BTC alone with CPU, to Bitcoin’s self -ocustody through a Wallet Electrum.
The technological basis that allows Parmanodl to work is Parmanode, a software open source that is installed in laptops or desktop PC. This program was designed To operate and update nodes of Bitcoin and complementary tools such as purses, block explorers or a control panel within Parmanode to simplify technical tasks
At the time of this wording, the official Parmanode site offers laptops, both new and reconditioned, with that pre -installed software and ready to operate.
Among the options Laptops are found with Intel I5 or I7 processors, a Raspberry Pi 4 or 5, and a new minipc nas server.
For example, a new laptop is marketed such as the Lenovo Thinkpad X1 Carbon G12 with 14 -inch touch screen and with RAM memory between 144 GB and 32 GB (Gigabytes), as well as a SSD solid disc of between 2TB to 4TB (Terabyte). Its price is 3,000 to $ 3,200, according to the memory and storage chosen.
Also, as seen in the following photo, laptops of that line of lenovo used and conditioned to use the Parmanode software.

The project is presented as an independent initiative in which Parman acquires hardware devices, mainly laptops, to install the Parmanode software. Parman is responsible for reconditioning, distributing and selling computers
Parmanodl: A complete system to interact with Bitcoin
Parmanodl, who still has no release date, is delivered preconfigured with the Bitcoin Knots clientan alternative of Bitcoin Core, to run a node. It also includes an electrum server (with options such as electrs, electrumx or fulcrum), which allows you to connect wallets such as Sparrow, Electrum and Specter.
All these applications are pre -installed and verified by PGP (Pretty Good Privacyor “quite good privacy” in Spanish), a standard of encryption that ensures the integrity of the software.

According to Parman, to handle the Bitcoin protocol data, Parmanodl will have a solid disc (SSD) type NVME of 2 TB (Terabytes), a rapid storage variant with much higher reading and writing speeds and a lower latency than traditional solid discs.
At the time of this article, the archive Bitcoin Total Weighs 655 GB (Gigabytes)so those 2 TB are more than enough to save the network information.
Can you undermine this laptop?
Parmanodl allows Bitcoin to undermine with the promise that “you can become a solo Bitcoin miner and win the fat prize with your CPU.”
However, Parman nuanced in his post that this function serves as an experimental introduction to beginners, Without pretensions to compete on a large scaleoffering a gateway to Bitcoin without requiring specialized hardware.
Nor did he provide information on the possible processing power (hashrate) that this device would have, although it can be estimated, since it is a CPU, that this power is much lower than an industrial ASIC.
Other qualities of Parmanodl, the Bitcoin laptop
Parmanodl incorporates Udev rules to integrate wallets such as Bitbox02 or Coldcard that store offline private keys, protecting against unauthorized accesses.
Udev (Abbreviation of English USERSPACE /DEV) It is a device management mechanism in the nucleus of the Linux operating system. It is responsible for automatically detecting and configuring connected hardwares, such as USB, discs or, in this case, wallet hardware.
On the other hand, Parman recommends keeping the equipment connected to the current to guarantee instant access to the balance, although the device has drums. This allows a controlled off in case of energy cuts, which avoids possible data corruption caused by unexpected blackouts.
If corruption occurs, it may be necessary to synchronize the network, a process that can take several hours or days.
Also, Parmanodl includes a personalized Mempool viewfinder to search for transactions using local data. This feature allows users to consult the status of their transactions without resorting to public services such as block explorers thus preserving privacy and anonymity that Bitcoin seeks to promote.

With Parmanodl, users can activate connections through Tor either I2P, Networks that hide the IP addressa relevant measure when executing transactions if the surveillance of digital activities intensifies.
Finally, Parman also stressed that, with an “extra contribution in Satoshis”, users can unlock advanced functionalities through a called configuration Parmadrive. He describes it as a “sovereign data server” designed to replace centralized services such as Google or ICloud.
According to its publication, this variant incorporates all Parmanodl (Bitcoin, Wallets and Privacy) capabilities but is presented as a desktop PC, although it admits customization to adapt to a laptop format.
