After the difficult course of the 2025 F/S season, the trade takes a heavy mortgage into the order round: In many cases, the sales rates are only 35 to 40%. There is great hope that a lot will happen in the coming months, especially with open goods, “but we have to see how we deal with our limits,” emphasizes Fritz Sutor (Sutor Schuh). The question is also discussed whether and how price increases in the shoe area can be enforced. The industry agrees that it has been missed over the past 20 years to sell shoes at higher prices. There is also clarity that the costs in the shoe trade continue to increase. But does the consumer participate in price increases if he acts very unsettled anyway? Here the opinions on Lake Garda differ.
The industry participants in Riva del Garda also move considerations of which new impulses can be set in the summer of the coming year. A look at the collections shows that it remains sporty. The terrace trend continues, with new color combinations and sometimes somewhat thinner soils. In addition, the sporty field is divided into slimmed low-pro styles and more voluminous “techno” sneakers with sleek sole silhouettes. Whether the flat, slim Speedcat variants will really prevail is being discussed intensively on Lake Garda. Not everyone believes in this trend.
On the other hand, it seems certain that boat shoes have what it takes to be a favorite topic, as they are a good mix of sporty and lightness – and a good alternative if it shouldn’t be a sneaker.
In terms of color, there is a spectrum of delicate pastels in the women’s area, combined with natural tones. Himmel blue, tender yellow, rosé and sage set feminine accents. Raffia, bast and mesh inserts provide fresh impulses for the materials. And there are many natural tones to be seen, from dark brown to beige and gray/green mixtures to olive-this also applies to the men’s shoe area.
