Heavy subsidy will be available with low cost
The biggest feature of the ‘Ghar Ghar Solar’ scheme is its minimum early cost which is attracting consumers. Apart from this, large subsidies are also available on installation of solar systems by the government, which covers up to 40% of the entire cost of installing solar systems. Take advantage of these schemes to install solar plant cheaply
People wishing to install solar systems can avail subsidy under the schemes of both the Central and State Government. The central government provides subsidy of up to ₹ 78,000 for the system up to 3 kW under PM Surya Ghar Free Power Scheme, which is about 40% of the installation cost. Similarly, the government of Odisha provides an additional financial assistance of ₹ 25,000 for 1 kW, ₹ 50,000 for 2 kW and ₹ 60,000 for the system of 3 kW and above.
Extension plans of Tata Power
Tata Power is planning to expand solar energy throughout the state in partnership with Odisha Renewable Energy Development Agency (Oreda). Last month, Tata Power Managing Director and CEO Praveer Sinha said that the company expects stable performance in its utility-scal, manufacturing and roofing segment. He also stated that there are major opportunities for sale of solar modules within the country with the implementation of domestic material requirement (DCR) in various fields.
