The crew of an oil tanker was rescued after the collision on Tuesday, including two search ships near the Straight of Hormuz.
The United Arab Emirates National Guard said that there was a clearance on Tuesday after a crude oil tanker, Edeline hit another ship – understood as an eagle oil tanker in front – the Anglo was managed by the Eastern Shipping firm, headquartered in Hong Kong.
The Egyptian Suez Suez canal was obliged at the time of the incident in the Gulf of Edaline Oman.
The Emirati National Guard said in a post on X, “The crew of the ship was evacuated from the scene, which was located 24 knots from the country’s coast, using search and rescue boats up to the port of Khor Fakkan.”
Competition not related to security – British maritime intelligence information
The British Maritime Security firm Embreen said about an incident, which is 22 sea miles in the east of Khor Fakkan, which is not related to security.
Shipping company Frontline stated that its oil tanker front eagle was involved in a collision and described the incident as a shouting incident that was not related to the ongoing regional conflict between Israel and Iran.
A statement by the frontline said, “The immediate action after the incident was taken to extinguish the fire on the front eagle deck.
The company said that it was “closely monitoring the situation and is fully cooperating with the concerned authorities as an emergency response efforts.”
Straight of Hormuz, an important oil entrance
According to the US Energy Information Administration, the Strait is an important maritime entry point for the Gulf of Persia, which is the accounting for the world’s fifth place to pass.
Amidst the increase in enmity between Israel and Iran, there is a concern that the waterway can be blocked.
On Friday, the Financial Times reported that the frontline would change new contracts to go to the Gulf via Hormuz’s strainer due to the deteriorating condition in the region.
