Talking to reporters in Washington, Trump was asked what he expected to get diplomatically during the visit of Pakistani Army Chief General Asim Munir to America. India rejected Trump’s claims

Foreign Secretary Vikram Misri said on Wednesday that in a conversation with Trump on a phone on Tuesday for about 35 minutes, PM Modi clearly said that India does not accept mediation and will never accept. He said that negotiations between India and Pakistan forces started to stop military action at the request of Islamabad. The ceasefire between India and Pakistan was first announced by the US President on 10 May. Since then, Trump has been claiming that he meditated in the ceasefire agreement by threatening to stop trade with the two countries if he did not agree to stop the struggle.

The military clashes between India and Pakistan between May 7 and 10 were mentioned prominently during the phone conversation between Prime Minister Modi and President Trump.
