A few days after that accident, the Karnataka government is preparing to bring a new crowd management bill. State Law and Parliamentary Affairs Minister H.K. Patil said on Thursday that the bill is expected to be discussed in the next cabinet meeting.

Talking about the bill, he said that the special thing of this bill is that it will not only make the event organizers who failed to control the crowd, but also have a fine of ₹ 50,000 and a proposal of imprisonment of up to three years.

How was a stampede in Bengaluru
This year RCB won the IPL trophy after 18 years. On June 4, the entire team was scheduled to gather at the Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bangalore to celebrate this. The team had not yet reached the stadium that millions of crowds gathered outside the stadium. There was a push to go inside. The crowd became uncontrolled and broke the gate and started moving forward, causing a stampede. 11 people were killed and 53 injured in the incident.
Taking action on the incident, the Karnataka government arrested the organizers and formed a SIT and ordered an inquiry into it.
