Iran on Saturday admitted that a German cyclist had detailed bees on espionage allegations.
The Iranian news agency reported that the person has been accused of recording and transmission of the coordinates and places of sensitive military and nuclear facilities.
The agency posted a video on Telegram, which showed the arrest of a young cyclist in Marketji near Arak nuclear facility in North -West province.
He is allegedly arrested last year and was held in Tehran’s infamous Evin Jail since then, which keeps foreign and political prisoners.
Germany’s Foreign Office has not yet commented on the news.
The revelation of the Iranian government comes in the middle of its struggle with Israel. On Saturday, French President Emmanuel Macron brought the plight of the French citizens seen in Iran, called for their release.
Earlier this year, Iran issued a German-Iranian women’s rights activist Nahid Tagvi, who was imprisoned for more than four years after a 10-year sentence for “campaigning against the state”.
Tagahevi, who lives in the German city of Cologne, which is democratic and in particular, a vocal lawyer of women’s rights in Iran. She was detailed while visiting Iran in 2020.
She was a hero in Evin Jail, where tortured and was put into a solitary imprisonment during her imprisonment.
