In a short -term space than two weeks, the Iranians have seen two top opponents of the Islamic Republic, who carry out uncontrolled attacks, increase fear and uncertainty at the level not seen for decades.
Till Saturday, Iran’s Health Ministry estimated that at least 430 people have been killed in Israeli attacks since June 13, injuring more than 3,500. Millions of people have left their homes.
After the US entered the conflict with the target of the main nuclear enrichment sites with a large -scale bombing mission over the weekend, everyone’s eyes are now seeing how the rule will be respected in Tehran.
Both US President Donald Trump and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu have waged the idea of ”change of governance” in Iran as a possible result of the ongoing military campaign.
However, most experts agree that the government’s change in Iran cannot be completed by bombing operations, and they will have to emerge from within.
As the US and Israeli attacks have increased the pressure on Iran’s leadership from outside, a laudable option for governance will have to reach a very effective and long -standing strategy of violent repression on its owned citizens to overcome any domestic threat to hold power.
Iran’s rule rifts domestically
DW turned to Iranian social media to find out what people are thinking. DW has been banned from land reporting or broadcasting in the Islamic Republic of Iran.
Many social media users in Iran are worried that if the Islamic Republic remains in power, the regime can take revenge on the Iranian people for their political and military insults.
The word “supporting Israel” on social media is spreading about the increasing number of arrests in Iran.
There is a lot in execution related to alleged relations with Israel. On Sunday, June 22, the official news agency of the Iranian judiciary reported the execution of Majid Masibi, which was accused of “spying for Israel”.
Officials claimed that he was in touch with Israel’s Mossad intelligence agency.
A week ago, the Islamic Republic carried out another person on the same allegations of “spying for Israel”.
Many Iranians of Abroad have taken up on social media to express deep concern for their families in Iran.
Some have written that they are now considering leaving Iran seriously, or considering finding their children as Turkish or Armenia in the coming days in neighboring countries, especially if the struggle moves forward.
Criticism of nuclear program
After the US attack on the Fordo Nuclear enrichment site, an Iranian user said that he feared what the governance would do in response.
“The world was walking with the Islamic Republic in power. But if the regime avoids the thesis attacks, the world will become an even more terroring place – much worse than before,” Heer said.
Many users expressed the idea that we and Israeli military attacks could not bring down the Islamic Republic alone. He argued that only a popular appearance within Iran, which is run by people, can give rise to the downfall of governance.
After the US attacks, the Iranian government tried to reduce the impact, while interacting with the public to react decisively. The Islamic Republic’s atomic program has been a source of power and validity domestic.
Some state-bound media outlets in Iran have published videos, claiming that the life near Fordo nuclear feature is normal and the residents continue with their daily routines. DW cannot verify the authenticity of the thesis video independently.
Gaukhar Mukhijhanova of the Vienna Center for Dismount and Non-Proliferation told DW that at this time, it is very difficult to verify the loss limit to Fordo.
“We can see some disadvantages from satellite imagery, but do not know to the real extent, and what it is going to take,” he said.
Mukhijhanova said that United Nations Inspector lives in Iran and is ready to resume his verification work “Once it is safe.”
The Iranian social media users designed the government to talk about the huge financial cost of the decades-Lumb nuclear program, especially the largest as material and infrastructure.

What have the government supporters said?
For the Netherlands-based group to analyze and measure the approach in Iran (Gamma), Iran’s more than 80% literate population did not support the Islamic Republic until 2023.
However, pro -governance is very active and vocal among the Iranian public. With public protests against the US and Israeli attacks, many supporters have taken on social media in recent times.
For Iran -based lawyer, Mohsain Borhani posted on X that Trump’s strike at Iran’s nuclear sites “makes fun of all principles of international law.”
Other supporters are asking for “revenge” on American interests.
Robert Chatterjee, deputy editor of Zenith Magazine, who focused on Arabia and Islamic World, told DW that Iran’s military options are quite limited to respond to the US attacks.
“There are some strategic options, although they are short-lived compared to mid-or long-term options,” Heer said.
“An option will have to activate a network of regional colleagues to attack American personnel or bases. I think it is not quite likely, not at least because I am not interested in attracting the US even more in Iran,” he said.
Other governance supporters on social media argue that Iran now has the right to stop the nuclear non -proliferation treaty, claiming that there is no justification for a party to remain for the global agreement.
However, for Maasih Alinezad, Iranian-American journalist and human rights activist, it was posted on X that it was clear that the Fordo atomic site “was never about peaceful energy.”
“It was built under a mountain to hide an nuclear program from the world, while the regime told its own people that they could not even give clean water or shelter. Now, the same regime is in war, and still has not made a single bomb shelter for its peel. They protect uranium.
