Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei said on Tuesday that Iran is “not a country that surrenders”. His statement came shortly after the ceasefire agreed by both Tehran and Tel Aviv in the arbitration of America. His statement came a few hours after President Donald Trump confirmed the implementation of the ceasefire between the two staunch rivals. Trump appealed to both sides to honor the agreement after a week -long deadly struggle, as it brought both countries to the brunt of fierce war.
Earlier in his first response, Iran’s supreme leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei had said that Tehran would not accept any kind of oppression under any circumstances. The supreme leader said that Iran has not targeted citizens and vowed not to bow down to anyone’s harassment.
He said, “We did not harm anyone. And we will not accept harassment from anyone under any circumstances. And we will not bow down to anyone’s harassment. This is the argument of the Iranian nation.”
The statement was made by Khamenei after the attacks on the US Iran nuclear site. Iran then carried out missile attacks on US military bases in Qatar and Iraq.
According to a statement issued by the Iranian Armed Forces, “Al-Udeed Base in Qatar under Operation Besharat Fatah was targeted for a devastating and deadly missile attack.”
Given a stern warning to Washington and his colleagues, the Iranian Army said that under no circumstances will Iran will not allow its regional integrity, sovereignty, or national security violations.
Attack on US base in Qatar and then ceasefire
Iran retaliated at the US’s Al Udid military base in Qatar, the largest American military base in the Middle East.
Qatar said that he had successfully stopped the attack, which he called the “gross violation” of sovereignty and said that he had reserved the right to answer.
An American official said that no casualties were reported on the base. US President Donald Trump dismissed the attack as “very weak”.
He said that Iran had “pre -notice” the attack, and thanked the Islamic Republic for the move, which “no one died, no one was injured.”
He wrote on his Truth social platform, “Perhaps Iran can now move towards peace and harmony in the area, and I will ask Israel to do the same.”
