Lowa further expands its sustainable energy supply. After around 60% of the electricity from its own photovoltaic comes at the headquarters in Jetzendorf in Bavaria, the next step is now followed: At the Slovak production site Bošany, a new PV system with 9,200 sqm area went into operation.
With full capacity, it covers around 90% of the daily electricity requirements on site. This makes a decisive contribution to reducing CO₂ emissions in the direct area of influence of the company-specifically the SCOPE-1 and SCOPE-2 emissions.
As part of its sustainability strategy, Lowa Sportschuhe GmbH is aiming to halve these emissions by 2027. CEO Alexander Nicolai clarifies: “For us, the investment in PV-current is a logical step on the way to a climate-friendly production. We take responsibility-not only for our products, but also for the way we manufacture it.”
