In connection with the murder of Indore businessman Raja Raghuvanshi, a team of Meghalaya Police recovered a native pistol, two magazines and two alive .32 caliber rounds from a drain in Indore on Tuesday afternoon. Two main accused of Raja’s murder – his wife Sonam Raghuvanshi and his alleged lover Raj Kushwaha confessed that they had a relationship and the incident was carried out. The pistol was recovered after the confession of Sonam and Raja.

SP Vivek Sim of Eastern Khasi Hills said, “Our doubt about what kind of plans were made in this murder due to the recovery of guns and cartridges. We are connecting every evidence together to make a strong case.”

So far, SIT has arrested eight people in connection with the murder. Sonam, Raj and three others – Akash Rajput, Vishal Singh Chauhan and Anand Kurmi were already arrested and they could be produced again in court on Thursday.

The three people arrested for tampering with the evidence include flat owner Lokendra Singh Tomar, property dealer Silome James and the security guard of the building of Heera Bagh Colony in Indore, Ballla Ahirwar, where the Sonam was allegedly hiding for 10 days after the murder. It is expected that he will be produced in the court of the First Class Judicial Magistrate tomorrow.

The recovery on Tuesday afternoon was based on the information given by James. In addition, James’ Hyundai i10 car also received a cash of Rs 50,000, which he allegedly withdrawn from Raj Kushwaha’s laptop bag.

Sim said that the laptop bag was already burnt, while the laptop was allegedly thrown on the road and it is still missing.

All eight accused have been booked under several sections of the Indian Justice Code (BNS), including murder, destroying evidence, criminal conspiracy and illegal weapons and illegal weapons.

The body of 29 -year -old King Raghuvanshi, who was missing from a homestay in Meghalaya, was recovered from a ditch. He married Sonam in Indore on 11 May and on 22 May, both of them reached Sohra (Cherrapunji) in Meghalaya for a honeymoon.

The next day, on 23 May, the king was allegedly lured by Sonam to the Wei Savdong view point and three betel nut killers killed him with a knife. Sonam allegedly fled from the spot, but returned after the attack was over. The rotten body of the king was found in a ditch near the waterfall parking on 2 June.
