Dozens of killed at Central African Republic School Stamped – DW – 06/26/2025

Officials said on Thursday that at least 29 school students were killed in a stampede in the Central African Republic, as they took their exams.

The incident occurred as more than 5.300 students, who appeared in her backlawori examination at Bartelami Boganda High School in the capital Bangui on Wednesday.

According to the Health Ministry, most of the victims – including 16 girls died on the spot. At least 260 other students were treated for injuries.
