Rudraprayag bus accident: A major accident occurred in Uttarakhand on Thursday (June 26). One person died after a bus with 18 seats fell into the Alaknanda River in Ghaulathir in Rudraprayag district. While 7 people were injured in this accident. Officials said some people are expected to disappear now. SDRF, Uttarakhand Police and Administration teams have started rescue and search operations.
Police headquarters spokesman IG Nilesh Anand Bharane told the news agency ANI, “A bus in Ghaulathir area of Rudraprayag district uncontrollably fell into the Alaknanda river. According to the information received so far, 18 people were aboard the bus.”
According to the report of News18, 11 passengers are still missing, who are being searched. Disaster Management Secretary Vinod Kumar Suman said that the crashed bus is probably a tempo traveler. According to preliminary information, the accident took place on the Badrinath National Highway.
Police and state disaster response forces have reached the spot. Currently, rescue operations are being carried out to search for missing people. The injured include two 9 -year -old children. According to the report, the initial investigation has revealed that the bus was going upwards. Then the driver lost control and the bus fell into the river.
