Gujarat hc: During the virtual hearing of the Gujarat High Court, a shocking incident was seen. Actually, a person was seen sitting on the toilet seat and attending virtual hearing. People recorded a video of it and shared it on social media. This video is fierce viral on social media. People are reacting a lot to this video. The incident occurred on 20 June in front of the bench of Justice Nirjar S Desai.
What is in viral video?
In the viral video, a person was logged in a virtual court session named ‘Samad Battery’ and wearing Bluetooth earphones around his neck. As soon as the hearing started, he kept his phone at a short distance, in which he is seen sitting on the toilet. Later he is seen exiting the bathroom. He disappears from the front of the camera for a while and then appears in another room.
According to the Bar and Bench, the person was involved in the proceedings as a defendant in the petition to cancel the FIR. Interestingly, he was also an original complainant in the criminal case. The FIR was later canceled after both sides informed the court that the dispute was cordially resolved.
There have been such cases before
However, this is not the first time that such an incident has happened during the hearing of the virtual court. In April this year, the Gujarat High Court imposed a fine of Rs 50,000 on a case, which was seen smoking cigarettes while joining the proceedings through video conferencing.
Ever since Corona epidemic has come, virtual meetings have become part of people’s lives. It has erased the distance between personal and professional places. It is now normal to make a video call from the bedroom or to do many things together during an online meeting. During these works, there is also a conflict between personal and professional space. This case of Gujarat High Court is an example of this.
