Battery Health: Have you ever noticed that your phone overheat during the summer season? Or whenever you are out in the sun, you must have seen that your battery is ending faster than normal. Yes, it is common to have this with mobiles of high temperature. Summer is one of the biggest enemies of your phone battery health. Whether you use iPhone or the battery of Android smartphone runs on lithium-ion cell. These batteries are sensitive to temperature, especially heat. When your phone becomes too hot, the chemical reaction inside the battery intensifies which affects the capacity to run the battery for a long time.
In simple words, the hotter your phone will be as hot, the faster your battery health will be reduced. You might have realized this when using the phone for navigation in the sun, watch the video out, or charge in a warm car, the phone gets hot, and the battery finishes very fast.
Apple and Android Warning
Apple has even warned users that the best is designed to do the best work between iPhone 0ºC to 35ºC (32ºF to 95ºF). Android manufacturers like Samsung and Google also have similar guidelines. Bringing your phone in contact with anything hot than this can also cause ‘battery completely bad’.
How to save the battery in summer
Avoid direct sunlight: Keep your phone in shade when you stay out. Do not leave it near a dashboard, bike or windows.
Do not use heavy apps when hot: Video streaming, gaming or navigation forces your phone’s processor to work fast, causing more heat.
Do not charge when the phone is already hot: Charging produces heat, and when the phone is already warm, doing so can cause the loss.
Remove the cover while charging: Some thick phone cases prevent heat. Removing it while charging can keep your phone cool.
Use aeroplane mode: Turning off the mobile network helps in processing and reducing heat.
