Foreign Minister S. When Jaishankar arrived in the anti -terrorism exhibition hall at the United Nations headquarters, the pictures on a screen stopped him for a moment. A video was playing in front- Pahalgam: Never Again, in which a victim’s mother was telling in a trembling voice, she violently pushed her and shot her in her chest. It was a picture of Pahalgam, whose scream was heard on Monday in the UN. There was a message together, not anymore.
This is the same Pahalgam, where the Pakistani terrorists killed 26 tourists who were celebrating holidays by asking religion. This massacre in Pahalgam in Jammu and Kashmir was going to shake the soul of India. This was not just a terrorist attack for India, but a collective religious slaughter. Which India is now reminding the world, but this time not with silence, in diplomatic language. Jaishankar’s UN tour was not limited to meetings and strategies this time. The tour also got involved with an emotional and national memory, in which India gave a clear message that there is no religion, country or excuse for terror. India will never forget it.
