The European Commission wants to face a trust vote next week under President Ursula von Der Leyen.
Robert Matsola, Speaker of Parliament, informed the leaders of the Parliamentary Group of Development on Wednesday evening.
European MPs want to debate the proposal on Monday, in which the vote is prescribed three days later.
Although the vote is largely symbolic, as most sides oppose the speed, it is under the growing disappointment in Brussels after a series of controversial decisions. If the proposal was to pass, the Commission would be requested to resign as his chairman and all 26 European Union Commissioners as a whole.
