Journalist Association conceived the Israeli settling attack on DW – DW – 07/06/2025

The German Journalists Association (DJV) expressed concern for attacking DW employees at the West Bank occupied.

“It is unacceptable that the radical settled media professionals are hunting with impure. It should not be without results,” the federal president Mika Best said on Sunday.

A statement after a DW correspondent and cameraman was attacked by Israeli settlers in West Bank village Sinjil on Friday.

How did it respond to the attack?

DW Director General Peter Limbberg attacked two DW reporters on Saturday.

Limbberg said in a statement, “DW respects this attack on our colleagues who traveled to Sinjil.”

“We are relieved that they were not physically injured in the attack and were able to get security. There is no justification for this attack,” Limburg said.

“We strongly demand that the Israeli government guarantee the safety of all journalists in the West Bank. Freedom of the press – and therefore the safety of journalists – is an indispensable pillar of any democracy,” said.

German Ambassador Conference Attack

German Ambassador to Israel, Stephen Sebert,, ie, expressed his concern in a post on X.

“Freedom of the press and the safety of journalists should be guaranteed,” he wrote.
