Lots of space for events
The decisions for the open space and the possibility of expanding everything show that the many events at AFEW were also considered during the store design. They are fixed part of the Afew idea. And often part of the holistic cooperation with the brands. An example: In the shop window there were recently some keen shoes, captured in wooden elements and many plants that break the clean look of the store with freshness and naturalness. Afew celebrated the outdoor culture together with Keen and the Norwegian brand Hiking Patrol in advance. There was live painting, free drinks, ice cream and of course limited Keen-Goodies. Streetwear is taking an ever greater status. Fashion has always existed at AFEW, but the football jerseys, which are designed by the store even designed, have a prominent space on the area.
Traditionally, the sneaker culture actually connects more with the basketball, with icons in both areas such as Michael Jordan, the founder reveals: “The basketball culture is closely connected to the sneak culture and is lived with us. Soccer Culture has gained great importance in the last season and is currently more present than ever. I also count again next year when the next World Cup, when the next World Cup is coming. ” There is also a lot of clothing in the shop beyond jerseys and sportswear – physically and digital. Despite the great desire for the topic in the entire team, Andreas Biergen admits: “We have been expanding the Share to Apparel with us for almost two years because it was a logical addition to our large sneaker offer for us. Shoes are in the blood, but we had to learn a lot with fashion. The fashion changes much faster. Which brand is in the trend. set the right trend. “
