The Nuremberg fashion dealer Wöhrl has won Decathlon as a partner. The sporting goods dealer will open a new branch in the parent company near Wöhrl on Ludwigsplatz by the end of 2025. An area of around 2,900 sqm with a wide range of sporting goods, services and advice was announced. The Young Fashion concept U-Eins previously located in the basement is integrated into the existing women’s and men’s departments by Wöhrl. In addition, the fashion house will open an outlet in the former Kaufhof building in late summer in the Nuremberg City. Thomas Weckerlein, CEO of Wöhrl, reports: “It is part of the concept of our 2022 extended and newly opened parent company, through the integration of external partners to further increase the shopping experience at Wöhrl. Decathlon as a successful provider of sporting items with a very broad product range is an ideal supplement to the fashion offer of our house. U-Eins has now grown up around 20 years after the start. In addition to the new sports area and the Wöhrl ranges, there are a branch of the shoe retailer Tretter, the luxury women’s concept Purrucker, two gastronomic offers with the vegan café the green and the young Café au Lait, a Nespresso flagship store, and numerous other offers on the 30,000 sqm total area of the parent company.
