This is intended to increase efficiency in the industry. Together with the supplier Ricosta, the Earenship provider Bits and the ECC European Clearing Center, central challenges and potential for improvement were discussed. The attorney data, represented by managing director Michael Decker, documented the processes. Host Uli Volk also brought in the perspective of the #schuh trade. The moderation took over Sönke Padberg from the BTE trade association. The focus was on reducing process costs, strengthening the cooperation between trade and industry as well as questions about the introduction of e-bill. The first results were already developed during the meeting. The further steps take place in working groups in monthly working groups under coordination of the BTE.

A next central meeting is planned for September at BTE Presidium member Roman Degenhardt in Bebra. There, among other things, the Wortmann Group and Etos should continue to edit existing process gaps in the EDI chain together with the ECC-from the order plans to the e-bill. The aim of the initiative is a continuous, standardized end-to-end view of the digital processes in the shoe trade. “With a clear view of the goal, the shoe industry will be able to significantly improve the data quality by the end of 2025,” said Sönke Padberg.
