This error is attached to the stabilizer position transducer, which helps in understanding the position of the front of the plane. After the flight from Delhi to Ahmedabad, the pilots saw this error. Experts say that even though this error does not have a direct connection with the fuel switch, it is being investigated whether this sensor problem can affect the second system of the plane like fuel management.
RAM air turbine is also under investigation
The investigation also revealed that the supply of fuel in the engines stopped immediately after the flight of the plane, which reduced the thrust of the plane and started falling downwards. CCTV footage showed that the backup of the plane, called RAM air turbine, became active. This was an indication that the power in engines was decreasing. But the investigation at the accident site found that both fuel switches were in operation and both the engines were indicating to start again before the accident.
Air India CEO wrote internal letter
Air India CEO Campbell Wilson said in an internal that there was no mechanical or maintenance malfunction in the preliminary investigation. He informed that all the necessary maintenance of the plane was completed. The FIP said that such hasty comments harm the professional images of pilots and give unnecessary grief to their families. The association appealed that they should not rely on such reports, which are coming out without a thorough investigation.
The Wall Street Journal report claimed that the first officer asked the captain why he closed the fuel switch, on which the captain was calm, while the first officer was nervous. This report has raised new questions regarding investigation. But government sources say that cockpit recording has been introduced incorrectly. He says that such reports are being spread without complete knowledge, which can affect the investigation.
