The press release issued by the National Intelligence Director stated that on Friday, the National Intelligence Director (DNI) Tulsi Gabbard presented evidence, stating how to win the 2016 election against President Trump’s Hillary Clinton, Obama and his national security team members deliberately coined intelligence and political form, so that a conspiracy of the President Trump can be laid against the President’s Trump. Prior to the November 2016 elections, the Intelligence Community (IC) assessed that Russia is probably not trying to influence the election using cyber means.
Allegations of foreign intervention in elections were accused
After the 2016 election, on 7 December 2016, the then National Intelligence Director (DNI) was clearly stated in the talkings prepared for James Clapper, “Foreign enemies did not launch cyber attacks on electoral infrastructure to change the results of the US presidential election.” Two days later, on 9 December 2016, the then President Barack Obama held an important meeting in the ‘White House’, which included the top members of the National Security Council (NSC). James Clapper, John Brainon, Susan Rice, John Kerry, Loreta Lynch, Andrew McKeb and other chief officers were present in this meeting. The purpose of the meeting was to discuss the situation related to Russia.
After the meeting, Executive Assistant, James Clapper, sent an e-mail to the leaders of the IC, directing him to prepare a new intelligence community assessment at the request of President Obama. This report was to explain in detail that ‘Moscow adopted what ways and what steps should be taken to influence the 2016 election.’ Further in the e-mail, it was written, ‘ODNI will lead this effort, which will contain the participation of CIA, FBI, NSA and DHS.’ According to the National Intelligence Director, after this, Obama administration officials leaked the wrong information to the media, including major news institutions like ‘The Washington Post’. These reports claimed that Russia has tried to intervene or influence the election results through cyber methods.
Trump’s victory was being proved wrong
Subsequently, a new Intelligence Community Assessment was released on 6 January 2017, which was directly contradictory with the IC’s assessments made for the last six months. After several months of investigation, it has come to light that this new intelligence assessment was based on such information, which the people associated with it considered false or incredible. According to the press release, it was an intelligence report prepared for a political purpose, which was used to prove the victory of President Donald Trump wrong, long -lasting cases like Muller investigation, twice impeachment, investigation of several officers, arrest and sending to jail and increasing tension between the US and Russia.
