Snow train passengers stuck for 6 hours in the tunnel – DW – 07/27/2025

Some 400 passengers left hot and the bee became a bee after running in a tunnel near Vienna in an Intercity Express (Ice) train in the dark after running for more than six hours.

The high-speed desert sister train was traveling from the Austrian capital to the northern German city of Hamburg.

Two passengers were treated at the scene, the APA said, but no one needed to be hospitalized.

ÖBB warned of delay in long distance trains from Vienna as the staff ensured that no people were inside the tunnel.

A spokesperson of the German railway operator Dutash Bahn said on Saturday evening that the train had a technical problem.

However, the spokesperson said that öBB operated the section within Austria.
