If a new brand is launched at the children’s shoe manufacturer Ricosta, this has a reason. In 1982 the Pepino brand was available for the first time in the market for Laufernner and toddler shoes. For over 40 years, the company from Donaueschingen has been relying on the established tandem from Ricosta for the “big ones” and Pepino for the “little ones”. Actually, everything should be covered. But in 2026, QNUFS will be a third brand in the legislative shops and departments.

The name – it is also quite cute and it is fun to pronounce it – was very well received after the announcement in early July. However, it is much more important, however, that the product is also well received. According to its own statement, the company worked with experts on the product for around a year before it is now presented to trade. Qnuffs is the new barefoot shoe brand from Ricosta. And the company wants to restart in the segment with a new development under its own name.

In the past two seasons, no new developments in barefoot shoes have been presented among the Ricosta and Pepino brands. Instead, you took enough time and now want to offer a product directly at the start that withstands the requirements of the trade and the community in the barefoot shoe segment, explains Managing Director Kai Moewes: “Instead of publishing new barefoot shoe models immediately, we used the past year intensively to create a well-founded basis together with physiotherapists and experts. to offer and thus gain the trust of the barefoot shoe community and our trading partners. ”
