At least 43 people were killed in the Democratic Republic of Congo after the Allied Democratic Forces (ADF) rebels attacked the Catholic Church on Sunday.
ADF- A rebellious group collected the church located in the northeast city of Komanda for prayer for prayer, with a rebel group.
What happened during the attack?
According to Monusco, the peace mission of the United Nations in the country, nine children were among those killed.
According to reports, the houses and shops around the church were set so much by the rebels.
“The thesis on defensive citizens targeted the attacks, which are uniquely, not only rebelling, not only rebelling, but unlike all norms of human rights and international humanitarian law.”
Congo army condemned the attack
The Sunday attack marked the end of a period of one month at the end of a long period of one month in the region of Ituri on the border of Uganda.
In February, 23 people were killed in an ADF attack in Mambasa area of the province.
The congregation army on Sunday described as “massive massacre”.
It said that the ADF had decided to “avenge the defenseless peaceful population to spread terror”.
Eastern Congo is considered one of the most dangerous regions in the world.
Around 130 separate armed groups stated that to be active across the country, many of which are focused on controlling the vast and valuable reserves of the region, such as valuable reserves of natural resources such as Colaton, Cobalt, Gold and Diamonds.
Earlier this year, Hostlinitis belt Congoles Force and M23 Ribel Group ended in a truss on 19 July.
Who are ADF?
ADF is a long -standing rebel group that originates in Uganda and is working in Eastern Congo. Thousands of citizens are responsible for the killings.
The group often uses hatchet and matches to meet attacks. In 2019, ADF awarded loyalty to the “Islamic State” group.
