Oliver Oppermann will take on the role of Vice President Brand at Gabor from September. It is intended to significantly help shape the company’s path to a “brand-driven” organization. Gabor describes that Oppermann has extensive experience in the development and implementation of sophisticated brand and premium concepts.
Oppermann was Head of Communication Area near Adidas from 1997 to 2005. This was followed by positions at Hilti, Gore and from 2020 to 2022 the role of the Head of Marketing Global Consumer Products at Red Bull. From 2020 to 2023, Opperman Chief Marketing Officer was at Alpha Tauri. He has been self-employed and an interim manager since 2023-this is what Oppermann’s LinkedIn profile emerges.
Oppermann brings well-founded expertise from the fashion and sports industry and is experienced in the creation and operationalization of brand concepts in cooperation with trade and the transformation of companies into brand-centered organizations. In his new role, he will report directly to the board and work closely with the areas of product and sales.
“We are happy to have won an experienced marketing professional for us with Oliver who has proven both in the premium area that he can build a brand and also has dedicated experience in working with dealers. I am convinced that Oliver is the perfect addition to our team to go with us the next steps to a brand driven company,” said Sascha Negele, board member, Customer & Brand.
The future role of Dr. Markus Reheis, currently Head of Brand, is currently in clarification, according to Gabor.
