AA Plane & Black Hawk Crash: During the hearing of the National Transportation Safety Board, the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) has made many big revelations by Planne and Black Hawk Helicopter Crash of American Airlines.

Highlights
- Air colic was held above the Potomac River in Washington.
- Passenger plane and army helicopter collided in collagen.
- 67 people present in plane and helicopter died in the accident.
During the hearing of the National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB), it has been revealed that the air traffic controller did not warn the American Airlines pilots about the root and presence of the helicopter. This mistake became the reason for this horrific accident. Actually, this case is of 29 January. A horrific accident occurred in the sky of Reagan National Airport, in which the plane of American Airlines coming to Washington and the rapidly growing army’s black Hawk helicopter collided with each other. Both collided over the Potomac River, which killed 67 people in both air careers.
During the NTSB hearing, it was revealed that the air traffic controller had not warned the passenger plane flight crew (pilot) about the root of the helicopter. NTSB chairwoman Jennifer Homendi questioned the FAA officials whether the controller should have told the plane pilot that there is a helicopter there? In response to this question, Nick Fuller, an officer of FAA’s Air Traffic Control Branch, replied yes. He said that the controller should have been informed to the passenger plane pilot that the helicopter is using the ‘visual separation’ and the routes of both aircraft could meet each other.
Let us tell you that visual separation is a process in which the pilot of the helicopter is given the responsibility of avoiding the collision by looking at other aircraft from its eyes. But in this case, the pilot of the helicopter did not know the correct position of the passenger plane. The transcript shows that the controller asked the helicopter pilot whether he had seen the passenger plane, but there was confusion in response. The pilot of the helicopter did not see the passenger plane until just before the collision.
Air traffic is heavy from airport
Let us tell you that Reagan National Airport is one of the best airports in America. Every day a large number of plans have to come and go from here. NTSB investigation revealed that 79 flights and landing were held at the airport. That is, in less than every minute, a plane is either a takeoff, or lands. In such a situation, the pressure on air traffic controllers was very high. Investigations also revealed that the controller was simultaneously playing the responsibility of helicopters and local passenger plane traffic management. In 10 minutes before the accident, the controller was in contact with 21 different aircraft. He told the Investigators that he was under extreme pressure 15 minutes before the accident.
