People in Japan experience their hottest July on record this year, with no respect for some.
Officials warned that the northern and western regions of the country would continue to see “severe heat” in August.
The average monthly temperature of Japan in July was 2.89 degrees Celsius at an average of 1991-2020 for the same month, the country’s meteorological agency said on Friday.
On 30 July, Japan experienced its highest recorded temperature – 41.2 Celsius (106.2 Fahrenheit) in the western region of Hyogo in the western region.
Early end of rainy season
This is the third record that July Japan has seen. The average monthly temperatures reached new heights in 2023, 2024 and now 2025.
This July is the hottest Sion Japan Meteorological Agency began recording data in 1898.
Last month was seen to be less than average rainfall in the north and west of Japan. The rainy season ended three weeks before normal in western Japan, making another unpredited record.
Cherry flower affecting heat
