The German press agency DPA, citing local authorities, stated that at least three people were killed and several others were injured after a passenger train derailed in South -West Germany on Sunday.
“According to the current investigation, three people were killed and other passengers were seriously injured,” Ulam police said in a statement,
It was not immediately clear how many people were injured.
The train was carrying around 100 passengers, when at least two prisoners derailed at around 6:10 pm (1610 GMT) near the city of Baden-Vurtembberg.

What else do we know about the accident?
According to a spokesperson, emergency services including Fire Brigade, Rescue Crew and Police were attending the scene, while Baden-Vurturbberg State Internal Minister Thomas Strobe was on his way.
German Chancellor Frederick Merz wrote in a post on X, “I am in close contact with the Interior Minister and Transport Minister and have asked them to support rescue forces in every way.”
The regional train was passing through a hill and wooden area between the city of Sigmaringan and ULM, where the local Southwest press The newspaper, local hospitals were preparing the bed to get the number of casualties.
