According to the country’s Ministry of Defense, South Korea on Monday began to end loudspeakers that broadcasted-North-North Korea messages along the border.
The step is part of President Li J Mayung’s efforts to influence relations with Pyongyang.
“From today, the army has started removing loudspeakers,” told reporters, a spokesman of the South Defense Ministry Lee Cuong-Ho.
“This is a practical way to help reduce stress with the answer, provided that search actions do not compromise with the status of military readiness.”
He said that all loudspeakers are expected to be removed by the end of the week.
