More than 240 supporters of former Pakistani Prime Minister Imran Khan were arrested on Tuesday as they ralled on the second anniversary of their date.
Security officers and police said that in the previous 122, there was an attempt to block roads in Lahore, Eastern city of Lahore, Lahore, the capital of Punjab province and threaten law and order.
Khan’s Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf Party (PTI) called for its release and staged a platform for nationwide protests.
Police removed tear gas to calm the crowd in the cities of Karachi and Muzaffarabad.
PTI party spokesperson Zulfikar Bukhari said, “The party decided to hold a peaceful protest across the country, in which the government responded by banning the meetings, (and) blocked the main highways.”
Outside a Lahore courtyard, supporters shouted “Free Imran Khan!” While small groups collected protests across the city.
Bukhari said that more than 200 activists were seen alone in Lahore.

Khan on Monday asked supporters to come out and perform peaceful protests “until a true democracy was restored” according to a message responsible to Khan on his party’s X account on Monday.
Designer cricket star Gymnastics Pakistan Prime Minister was excluded in 2022 by no confidence vote.
He has a detailed history of August 2023 and has been charged in dozens of cases, ranging from corruption, terrorism and disclosure of official secrets.
Both Khan and his wife, Bushra Bibi, were convicted of Graft and sent to 14 years and seven years in jail respectively.
In the anti -terrorism court, in 2023, the nationwide protests were convicted by MPs and dozens of PTI party members, including the opposition leader of the National Assembly.
Khan has denied any wrongdoing, saying that the allegations against him were politically motivated.
