What do we know so far

A person of the government spokesperson said that everyone was killed on a military Z9 helicopter in an accident in the middle of Ghana.

Ghana’s armed forces said the Air Force helicopter flew from the capital, ACCA in the morning, and was going into the interior of Obuasi’s gold mining area in Ashati in the northwest, when it moved away from the radar.

The debris was later found in the Van Adansi area of unrest.

Three other officers, including the ruling National Democratic Congress Party Vice President, Shamuel Sarpong, were killed along with three members of the Ghana Air Force crew.

The causes of the accident were not immediately found, and the armed forces said they had started in the investigation.

Ghana News site Mai Joy Online reported a strong security attendance of military and police at the accident site.

Ghana’s media reported that the helicopter was on its way for an incident on illegal mining, which was a major environmental issue in the West African country.

Ghana declared three mourning

The Chief of Staff of President John Droni Mahama said, “The President and the government expanded our condolences and sympathy to the families of the soldiers who died in the service of our comrades and countries.”

The spokesman said that Mahama announced three days of mourning and canceled his official activities for the day.

The mischief also gathered at the headquarters of the party along with Boma’s residence, and Ghana’s government left the accident as a “national tragedy”.

Ghana’s Education Minister Haruna Iddarisu had “down, down emotionary” to Mahamar, told reporters outside the Presidency that he broke down from the accident.
