The United States plans to construct its largest migrant preventive facility at a military base in Texas.
The Pentagon said on Thursday that there is an initial plan to place 1,000 migrants in the Fort Bliss Base near the Mexican border starting from this month.
According to the Defense Department, the facility of Camp East Montana will be extended to provide 5,000 beds for migrants in “The Weex and Month Ahead”.
