Donald Trump Putin Meeting: US President Trump will meet Russia President Putin in Alaska on 15 August. The purpose of the meeting is to discuss the peace agreement to end the Ukraine War.

Ukraine and its European allies have long been opposed to any agreement in which Russia is empowered to occupied the occupied areas such as Crimea, Donatsk, Luhansk, Kharnson and Japorizia. At the same time, Putin has repeatedly said that in any deal, Ukraine will have to leave some areas in Russia since 2014. Along with this, they also demand from Western countries to stop military help to Ukraine and end trying to join NATO.

Where is Alaska?
Alaska is the largest and northern state in America. It is located in the west of the Yucon and British Columbia provinces of Canada. The special thing is that America bought it from Russia itself. In 1867, there was an agreement with this. According to the price then it was purchased for US $ 72 lakh. Initially, many American people considered it a very useless deal, but later found a large stock of gold, oil and gas, which made it clear that the deal proved to be very beneficial for America.

UAE will not meet in Alaska
A big question about this meeting is about Putin’s visit, as the International Criminal Court (ICC) has issued an arrest warrant against him on allegations of war crime in Ukraine. However, the US is not a member of the ICC and does not recognize its jurisdiction, so a meeting in Alaska is possible. Biring straw between Russia and America is only 88 km away and some small islands are also close to it. Interestingly, the name of the United Arab Emirates was revealed for the first meeting, but Trump himself declared Alaska a location on social media. This meeting will meet the first face to face between the two leaders after 2019.
Trump has spoken about ending Ukraine war
Before the election, Trump has been saying that after coming to power, he will end this war in a day. Trump has shown a friendly stance with Putin several times during his tenure, even he favored Putin compared to Ukraine President Volodimir Jailonsky. However, in recent weeks, their stand on Russia’s continuous attacks has become strict. Last week, he warned Russia that if the attacks did not stop, new restrictions and business charges would be imposed.
